Role Description

Key activities to include:

  • Enforcing governance processes and standards to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Providing support for internal governance forums
  • Analysing project data and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations to Project / Programme Managers
  • Support with assisting in resource allocation across projects
  • Supporting projects where required
  • Assisting with internal communications facilitating communication across the business
  • Support the onboarding of new staff where required
  • Booking hotels and travel
  • Support finance with invoicing
  • Reconciliation of Amex statement to expense form and receipts

Essential Skills and experience

  • Experience of working in a Portfolio Office environment within Financial Services
  • Demonstrable ability to build positive relationships through strong communication influencing and negotiating with project and programme stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Organisation and financial management skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrable experience of applying and advising project governance frameworks
  • Good understanding of Project lifecycle
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable skills and experience

  • Proven experience working in a Portfolio environment within a Financial Services institution
  • Book keeping experience

Explain technical acronyms and jargon in plain English

Attain a professional Project Management Qualification (Prince2, PMP, Agile or equivalent) as directed by your manager.
